Welcome
The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) is committed to raising the standard of care and improving access to services for traumatized children and their families. The key to the success of NCTSN is collaboration among its nationwide network of nearly 100 centers, which work together to advance the understanding and treatment of child traumatic stress.
The theme for the 2010 NCTSN All-Network Conference (ANC) is “Building Trauma-Informed Child Service Systems: Strengthening the Foundations of Public Health.” In keeping with this theme, the objectives of the meeting include:
- To motivate and inspire Network members and partners.
- To integrate new centers into the Network and continue to engage affiliate centers.
- To facilitate formal and informal collaboration around topics of common interest.
- To convey information about Network priorities and major initiatives.
- To build Network members’ knowledge and understanding of child trauma as a public health issue, and how the work of the NCTSN to create trauma-informed child service systems can address public health priorities.
- To build NCTSN members’ skills related to public health approaches to child trauma and trauma-informed systems.
- To increase the involvement of family members, consumers, and youth at all levels in the Network, including the All-Network Conference itself.
There will be pre-conference meetings on Monday, March 1, 2010, and a welcome reception at 5:30 p.m. for all conference participants.
The All-Network Conference will officially begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, and will conclude at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4. Join your NCTSN
colleagues for 3 days of collaboration and inspiration.
